Visitation will take place at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home
on Monday June 1, 2026 from 12:00 – 2:00 followed by a funeral
service officiated by Rev. Bruce Cook. Interment will take place in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Jean Shoemaker, wife of the late Kenith Shoemaker (2009) passed away on May 29, 2026 at the age of 87 years. She was the loving mother of Kathie Shoemaker, Donna & Jim Unwin, Brad & Laura Shoemaker, Todd Shoemaker and Tracey Purdy (late Bill) &Len Murray. She is survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Kenith and her granddaughter Jolene Unwin and grandson Jeffrey Unwin.
Jean was one of six children born to the late Ruby & James Stothart and is survived by her brother Bert Stothart (late Nancy) and her brother-in-law Bob Grant (late Marie). She was predeceased by her siblings Eleanore Heil, Isabell (Dawn) McAuley and Frank (Fran) Stothart.
Friends will remember Jean working as a waitress for 20 years at the Venus De Milo Restaurant in Blenheim.
