A time to celebrate Barbara's life will be held on Saturday November 21, 2026
from 1-4 pm at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home, 53 Stanley Street, Blenheim
After 95 wonderful years, Barbara Anne McIntyre (LaRue) has passed on to be reunited with the love of her life, Alec (2002).
They had celebrated 53 years of marriage. They loved to travel, went on cruises and had a place in Florida for many years. Barbara and Alec had spent most of their years in Hamilton, raising their two sons. When they retired they move to Erieau.
Nothing was more important to Barbara then her family. She is survived by her sons Brian (Nadia), Kevin( Karen), and her amazing grandchildren and great grandchildren who she cherished so much, enjoying every visit with them.
She is also survived by her sisters; Gail Miller (Bill) and Sharon Stroud (Garry), her brothers; Doug Hannah (Betty) and Richard LaRue (Linda). Predeceased by sisters Geraldine Hannah, Judy Topp (Fred), Jacquie Giles (Clarence “Bub”) and brother Gary LaRue (Rosemary).
In honour of Barbara’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A time to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held on Saturday November 21, 2026 from 1-4 pm at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home.
