Dear Brenda, Becky, Beth and Jenny,
My condolences on Ted's passing. What a wonderful life that he lived and so many memories that you will have to cherish. As you mention in the obituary, Harwich-Raleigh is much more than a school, it is a community that many of us share. Ted was among the group that truly made that community come alive.
We will miss him dearly, but I personally will always have my memories of Harwich-Raleigh, McKay's Hockey, Bumble Hats and the one miraculous volleyball tournament where the little rural school in Blenheim managed to get to the Kent championship final.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Brenda and family after a long journey with Ted through his illness. As hard as it was I am sure Ted did everything he could to keep your spirits up and make a joke or two along the way. The one thing I will always remember about Ted was his colourful golf attire especially his hats. He was so much fun to be around. So sad to hear that Ted has passed away. He may be gone but everyone who ever got to meet him will have more than one good story about being around him. Sunday morning hockey was where he was always in his element. Sometimes Sunday morning hockey turned into a Sunday afternoon social gathering without even leaving the arena. I will never forget Ted's huge smile and that big laugh, often displayed while departing his words of wisdom on more than a few of us. Sunday hockey was over for that day but the laughs had only just begun. Great memories! Rest in peace Ted.

To acknowledge your loss is heart breaking. When we say his name it always creates a smile and a giggle because he always had a story or a joke. Like " Gas has not gone up..I still buy $20.00 worth ". Ted has definitely left his mark in this world. Hugs to all of you. He is gone but never to be forgotten.

Dear Brenda, Becky, Beth and Jenny, I am deeply saddened to hear of Ted’s passing. He was one of my favourite teachers in school, not just because he was the dad of one of my best friends growing up but because he was so full of life, joy and fun. My sincerest condolences to you.

I just wanted to share a memory of Ted Rumble. I was in Grade 8. It was the first full year Grade 8 class at Harwich Raleigh. A group of us girls had a Ouiji board in the girls change room with the lights out. It was mysteriously predicting things that were making us quite nervous when Mr Rumble started banging loudly on the door! How he knew we were in there I don’ know but he scared the crap out of us all! I will never forget it! That’s the kind of fun guy that he was! Our condolences to the entire Rumble family!

Ted was truly one of a kind. He put a smile on the face of all who knew him. We will remember his jokes, one liners, musical talent and recitations with more smiles. Cherish all the wonderful memories of the man who lived his life to the fullest. He will truly be missed.
