Service:

Nancy's family will be remembering her privately.

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Nancy Marie Fulkerson on May 18th, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her family, whom she held so close to her heart.
Nancy shared 57 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Cameron Fulkerson, who passed away in January 2024. We take comfort in knowing they are together again.
Nancy is remembered by her son Brad (Yvette), daughter Michelle (Fred), grandchildren Chelsea (Tyrus), Danielle (Jeff), Tanner, Megan (Adam), and great-grandchildren Jackson, Olivia, and Jett — each of whom brought her endless pride and joy. Her family was everything to her, and she was the heart of ours.
The cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Mary McCarthy, she was born and raised in the village of Erieau, where she spent her entire life. A proud and respected member of the community, she was known for her kind heart, thoughtful nature, and deep love for all living creatures.
Nancy’s deep connection to nature was a guiding force throughout her life. She devoted countless hours to wildlife rescue, volunteering her time and heart to care for animals of all kinds.
She was a proud grandma and great-grandma, affectionately known as “Gigi” by the little ones who brought her so much joy.
She will be forever remembered by those who loved her and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family has chosen to remember Nancy privately. Friends wishing to honor Nancy’s life with a memorial donation are asked to consider the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation and the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent— two causes that held special meaning to her and her family.

Condolences

Our deepest condolences Michelle and Brad and family . Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time . God bless.

Dear Brad, Michelle and Family. So very sorry to hear Nancy passed away. I remember years ago we had a injured duck in the Marina, Nancy came right over when she heard, took the duck home and nursed him back to health in her bathtub. I will never forget her beautiful nature to anything living that was in need of care. Her gentle spirit will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace Nancy, Dianne Barnier.

Brad and Michelle, I am so sorry to read of your mom’s passing. What a beautiful tribute to her. Wishing you and all the family comfort and peace in the days to come

Deepest Condolences to Brad, Michelle and their respective families. Both of your parents were terrific people. Nancy was an absolute genuine human being. They came over to the Krouse’s for many Christmas mornings and we deliberately didn’t start opening until they arrived. I remember stopping at the picnic table while zipping by on my bike to say hello or check out her latest rescue. Thoughts with you all during this time. They will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about your Mum . Thinking about you all at this sad time .

Sending heartfelt condolences at this sad time, and hugs to the family.

I’ve known Nancy and Cam for a large portion of my life, and will always hold the memories of their kindness. I had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with them when we shared the livestock barn at the family farm. They were always willing to lend a helping hand, and took great pride and love in caring for their goats, barn cats, horses and even my cows. Later on, I know they loved volunteering at the animal sanctuary, and we’re always telling stories of taking in all sorts of creatures. Rest in peace Nancy, I know you’re up there feeding the raccoons, squirrels and whatever else you come across.

Condolences to Brad, Michelle and families during this difficult time.
