Patricia Pirhalla

A photo of Patricia Pirhalla

Patricia Ann Pirhalla passed away at home on Sunday July 31, 2022 at the age of 70 years.  She was predeceased by her parents Karl & Mary (Stefina) Pirhalla and her baby sister Nancy Susan Pirhalla.  She was a kind hearted soul who will be missed by her godchildren Susan Rigg and Trevor Podolinsky, her neighbours  Giacomo & Mary Apuzzo and her dear friend Chris and family.  She will be missed especially by her cousins Debbie, Marianne and Linda (Omer).

Pat was very proud and close to her parents.  The story of how they immigrated from Slovakia and met at a picnic that the Slovakian community had at a bush outside of Blenheim brought a smile to her face every time she told it.  She considered it an honour to care for them in their final days.  She spent her working career at Union Gas in Chatham and was content in her retirement to spend time at home and at the family cottage with her dog Daisy.

It was Pat’s wish that cremation take place and that she be laid to rest with Karl and Mary in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.  Friends wishing to remember Pat with a memorial donation are asked to consider Chatham-Kent Animal Rescue https://ckanimalrescue.com/ or Pet & Wildlife Rescue https://pawr.org/funds/.

Sesternica Patricia s rodinou zo Slovenska. Banská Bystrica, 28. decembra 2022

Saddened to come across this just recently. I worked with Pat at Union Gas on several projects. No matter what she was working on, you would always find Pat buried deep into her work but always up for a short chat and a good laugh. Rest in peace Pat.

Our hearts are saddened. We will always treasure the times Patzy joined us during our family events. She was truly like family and will be missed dearly.

Our hearts are saddened on the sudden passing of our neighbours Patzy. She became part of our family joining us at our table during holidays and special times. She was a good friend and a stable at out table. She will be truly missed.

So very sorry to hear of Pats passing. We are Pats Erieau cottage neighbours . Please let us know if we can help in anyway. Regards Marg & Jeff

We will miss you .The wonderful laughs we had at Mary’s get togethers. Times that were wonderful.

I am sorry to hear about the sudden passing of Pat. We worked at Union Gas, and our paths crossed back in 1979 when my husband and I newly married moved into the apartment beside Pat. Over the years, we played tennis at the formal Wheels, outside courts at Union Gas, and had several lunches to keep caught up. Her chats about the cottage and time with her family have fond memories in my mind. My sincere sympathies to the family.

I was truly saddened and shocked to hear this news. I always enjoyed when I had to do a job for Pat , wether in Erieau or on her farm dealing with municipal water. We shared stories , she was extremely generous while Unnecessarily handing me gift certificates to Sobey. I will always think of You when I drive by your farm . Rest In Peace . I will miss you

Such a kind gentle soul. RIP my dear friend.
