Marlene Elaine Warren died peacefully at Riverview Gardens on February 3, 2023 at the age of 86. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Gladys Walsh (nee Hammond) and sister Barbara Wildbore (Fred) of Flint Michigan. Born in 1936, she was raised in Saginaw Michigan moving to Canada at the age of thirteen. She will be sadly missed by Donald Warren, her loving husband of 70 years. Beloved mother of four daughters, Rose Vanthuyne (Patrick) of Chatham, Melinda Carrol (John) of Buck Lake Alberta, Frances Warren of Chatham, and Patricia Warren (Gordon) of Calgary Alberta. Grandma to Stephanie, Daniel, Kerry, Warren and Corinna. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law to Ruby Robinson (Al), the late Howard Warren (Emma), the late Bill Warren (Dawn) and the late Edward Warren. Marlene was a longtime employee of the Bank of Montreal. She loved to sew and was a member of The Stichin’ Sisters quilting group for many years and also enjoyed knitting hundreds of hats and mittens for charity. As members of the Ontario McLaughlin Buick Club and the Kent Historic Auto Club, she and Don participated in many car shows and rallies. Special thanks to the staff of Riverview Gardens for their care and kindness during her time with them. At Marlene’s request, there will be no funeral services. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will occur at a later date in Sparta Ontario. Donations made to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

So very sorry to hear of this lovely woman’s departure. Although I’m not at the drugstore any longer to receive her quick little visits I do think of her often. Take care of each other.

Don and Family So sorry to read of Marlene's passing. I remember her when I was a kid and stayed at the Ashby's during summer vacation. When I went into adulthood I worked with her at BMO. We also were in a car pool for retirees luncheons. Gone but not forgotten. RIP Marlene.
