Lulu Nicholson, 96 years of age, passed away peacefully at the Blenheim Community Village on Saturday November 24, 2018. Lulu was born in Harwich Township, to the late Beatrice (Carnie) & Robert Delbert Jackson. She was the last surviving member of her family, having been predeceased by her siblings Dorothy, Ken and Allan. Lulu married Morris John Allen who predeceased her in 1951, just one month after their son Murray John Allen had passed away. She worked at CIBC where she met Norman Nicholson and in 1973 they were married, enjoying 44 years together before Norman passed away on May 27, 2017. Lulu retired from the Purchasing Department of Southwestern Regional Centre where she was responsible for ordering all of the supplies.  She will be remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews Marion & Charles Brisco, Delbert & Dixie Jackson, Ken Jackson and Manley & Martha Jackson. She was predeceased by a nephew Douglas Jackson.

Resting at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home, 60 Stanley Street, Blenheim where visitation will take place on Wednesday November 28, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. when a Funeral Service will take place with Rev. Mike Maroney of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will take place in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.

Many thanks are extended to the staff of the Blenheim Community Village for Lulu’s excellent care over these past few years. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to remember Lulu are asked to consider the First Presbyterian Church in Chatham.

My thoughts go out to the family. Lulu was such a sweet and caring women. I loved our long talks and many years of smiles & laughter at the home. God Bless .

I was saddened to learn of Lulu's passing. I've known her for many years. My mother, Marjorie, and Lu were lifelong friends! She always had such a sweet and caring way about her. My sincere sympathies to the family. I know she will be missed.

Dixie, Delbert, Manley and Martha our prayers are with you. Lulu and Norm were great neighbours to have. They had lots of patients with the kids and dogs.

Saddened to hear of Aunt Lula's passing, she was a part of our family for many years. We have many memories of special times and Christmas's spent together.

Memories of a kind,caring lady who was an important part of my early life. Lulu remained a good friend to my parents (Ian and Margaret) throughout their lives. My thoughts are with the family.
