It is with full hearts that we announce Lesa Jansen set out on her new journey July 8,2022 surrounded by those who love her greatly and whom she loved with intensity.  She is survived by her father Douglas (Bertha) Wright and her life partner of 50 years and husband of nearly 46 years, Henry Jansen. She is the proud mother to 2 sons; Doug (Melissa) and Craig (Natalie) Jansen who she loved fiercely and vibrantly and she has spent the last 15 years surrounded by the ones who were the lights of her life; her 6 grandchildren Tanner, Taylor, Hunter, Maci, Brody and Hayden Jansen.   She was predeceased by her mother Lea Wright (Szucs) and by Henry’s parents Martin and Wilhelmina Jansen.

Loving sister to Lloyd (Michele) Wright, Lori (Dan) Alexander-Collins, Michelle (Marco) Wright-Convertino, Steven (Lynn) Martin, Janet (Allan) Cunningham and Dennis (Jackie) Blommaert.  Loving sister-in-law to John (Linda) Jansen, Marty (Rosemary) Jansen and Herman (Mary) Degoey.  Loving aunt to Bryanna Alexander, Lea Wright, Jennifer (Mike) Rice, Heather Cunningham, Mike Cunningham, Erica (Rob) Girimonte, Jen (Chris) Derbyshire, Michelle (Trevor) Bailey, Marty (Jen) Degoey, Robert (Rebecca) Degoey, Teri Lynn (Rick) Voivoda, Bryan (Alisha) Jansen, and their families.

Lesa is fondly remembered by many friends who she considered family.  She treated everyone with respect and in turn was well respected and loved by everyone who knew her. She loved boating, golfing, fishing and enjoying a glass of wine with her girlfriends.  But most of all she loved spending time with her family, giving the best hugs, making everyone laugh and creating special memories in the kitchen with her grandkids making banana bread and cookies. Her undeniable and infectious zest for life is what we will remember most about her and what we will continue to carry forward in her memory.

Lesa was a dedicated and highly regarded Director of Human Resources at Community Living Chatham-Kent for nearly 35 years.

Cremation has taken place.  Visitation will take place on Tuesday July 12,2022 at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.

A celebration of life is currently being planned, date to be announced.

Friends wishing to remember Lesa with a memorial donation are asked to consider either Community Living Chatham-Kent or the Chatham-Kent Hospice.

Dear family of Lesa. My treasured memories of Lesa go back to the early 2000's when she diligently served as a VON Board Member while I was Coordinating VON Kids' Circle and Trauma Support programs. Lesa's support of both programs was phenomenal ... even arranging for her beautiful and super talented sister Michelle to perform for our very successful fundraiser ... these funds making it possible for more clients to be supported. Henry and family I am truly at a loss for words. My husband Jerry was hospital roommates with her. On July 1st. I lost my love. Funeral Visitation was on the 6th and on the 8th you lost your love too. It's been a grief stricken week, my heart was broken in 2 , but now another piece has broken. Lesa was so kind abd beautiful. Her and Jerry hit it off as roommates sharing much in common with their illness but still managing to get some " digs" in with each other. Like the time she threatened to throw her water bottle over the curtain , had it not been for the mesh top to stop it. She was being so strong , she still had dreams of doing her kitchen renovation. This lady touched my heart, touched ours. We exchanged cell #'s she'd let me know in the morning if Jerry had a restless or quiet night , all the while she was in the " same boat. " Worried more about Henry and her family than her self. In such a short time I adored her. Told her she looked like a Model, lovely. I was so looking forward to keeping in contact with her following her journey and offering support, even though my husband fought the battle too for 3 years and his journey came to an abrupt halt. After a week of the saddest day of my life and now being Sunday a day of rest I was planning my first day of taking abit of a breather". On my list of things to do though was to touch base with Lesa and see how she was. However Grief stricken news came when I heard the news of her passing from one of her Ole mutual friends Mary Bogaert. Anyway my message to her never happened or never will. Cherish her memory, trust me it will hurt alot but that's not neccesarily a bad thing , It only hurts because she was so awesome and loved so much as my Jerry was too . She will be dearly missed by me, Synthia. R.I.P. Lesa. PEACE. Synthia ( Gerald ) Trembley . Wallaceburg.

Our sincere condolences to the Janssen family and friends.
