Sending condolences to the Hope family. I was Mavis Barrett's (from Erie Beach) god-daughter and I believe she took care of Chris & Scott when they were young. I remember going with her as she babysat them many years ago. I recall Jane as a very kind and loving lady who my Nan cared about deeply. We send our sincere sympathies to Jack, Chris, Scott and families. Jane was a kind and thoughtful friend. When I was five she was my figure skating mentor. As young married couples we worked with Jane and Doug in the Kinsmen Club. We spent winters at the same park in Florida after retirement. Then Jane’s grandson Shawn married our granddaughter Kelsey. Fate has a way of bringing people together. We will miss her. We send a special hug to our son in law Shawn. ❤️

For many years, I attended Aquafit in Blenheim and got to know Jane. She was a bright light, always positive and so quick to laugh. We used to go to Tim Horton’s after our workout and share stories of our travels and family. I have been gone from the area for ten years but have vivid memories of this wonderful lady.

We share your sadness at this time. We shared so many good times together. Each week in Florida, Jane and Doug would arrange a golf outing at a different course. Then there were the weekly Bridge games. More laughs than cards as she tried to teach Ron the game. Kinettes, golf, bridge, curling at home. Jane was always a great teacher and mentor. Celebrate a life well lived! RIP Jane 🙏
