Eleanor (Haskell) Guy

Eleanor Elaine (Haskell) Guy passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance on Friday, February 17^th in her 75^th year, with Melvin, her beloved husband of 57 years, by her side. She will be remembered by her 3 children Dennis (Doris), Debi (Kevin Drew) and Lee Ann (Mark Chamberlain),her 4 grandchildren Logan, Kramer, Gareth and Rhiannon, and great-grandson Talan. Eleanor is survived by siblings Fern, Elsie, Lorne and Murray Haskell. She is predeceased by her parents Millard and Annie (Johnston) Haskell and siblings Lloyd, Kenny, Larry and Carol Haskell, Hilda Johnson and Elta Wadsworth. Eleanor was extremely involved with St.Luke’s United Church. She enjoyed oil painting, line dance calling, a good debate and organizing events with her winter community in Sebring, Florida. Friends will be received at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home, 60 Stanley Street, Blenheim on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Eleanor officiated by Rev. Eric Skillings will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday February 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Pardoville Cemetery. Donations in remembrance can be made to the ALS Society of Canada or the charity of your choice.
