Dini Woudenberg

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Dini Woudenberg at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Tuesday February 7, 2023 at the age of 84 years.  Mom is now reunited with our father Jan ”John” Woudenberg who passed away in 2013 and our brother Jamie who passed away in 2016.

Our Mom was a kind and caring person who saw good in everything and everyone.  She always had a smile and a hug waiting for everyone and more times than not, a pound cake that she baked herself and was well known for.  She was just as proud of us as we were of her and her faith was an inspiration to all of us.  She will be missed by her children Henny & Rick Hoy, Marrianne & Jon Willis, Janet Woudenberg, John & Kathy Woudenberg and Rob Wevers, her grandchildren Matt, Jason, Justin, Jessica, Jillian, Alexis, Kiley, Kaitlin, Kim and Sharon and by her great-grandchildren who she was so proud of.

Mom was born in Holland and is survived by her sister Fran Okkema and her brothers Joop Apperloo and Al Vanderweide.  She was predeceased by her brother Andy Vanderweide.

Family and friends are invited to the Blenheim Community Funeral Home on Friday February 10, 2023 for a time of visitation from 11:00 a.m.  – 1:00 p.m.  A Funeral Service conducted by Pastor Eric Skillings will take place immediately following the visitation at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mom and Dad were both supporters of Operation Smile, a charity that helps children with life changing treatments and surgeries.  Should you wish to remember Mom with a memorial donation, that charity or any charity of your choice would be appreciated.
