Audrey Fulkerson

Audrey Fulkerson of Erieau passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday November 25, 2009. Audrey was born in Thunder Bay 83 years ago to her parents Frank and Georgina (McKend) Ells. On September 1, 1945 she married Albert “Bud” Fulkerson and together they raised four children; Susie Attewell and Bertha & Brian Case of Erieau, Jim & Janice Fulkerson of London and Mark & Gail Fulkerson of Dundurn Saskatchewan. Audrey and Bud were also blessed with eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Bud predeceased Audrey on November 29, 2003. She is also predeceased by her brother William Bryce Ells and her sister Sadie Elizabeth Ells. Audrey served with the Women’s Royal Canadian Naval Service and was a member of WRENS. She also worked at Erieau Packers for 26 years. The Fulkerson family will receive friends for visitation at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home on Friday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service for Audrey will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday November 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Branch #185 Legion Padre Rev. Bill Terris. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers for their Grandmother will be Adam Fulkerson, Brent Case, Albert Attewell, Craig Attewell, Jeff Froude and Jeff Clark. Friends wishing to remember Audrey with a memorial donation are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the CNIB.
