The family will not be holding a public service.
Larry Malcom Stover passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on October 23, 1937, Larry lived a long and complex life marked by strong convictions, personal challenges, and an unwavering commitment to doing things his own way.
He spent much of his working life in electronics, specializing in television repair. He took pride in his technical skill and hands-on approach, finding focus and satisfaction in the precision of his craft.
Larry was a man shaped by the values of his generation—reserved, self-reliant, and deeply rooted in his beliefs. These traits influenced many of his relationships, creating a home environment marked by structure and high expectations.
Those closest to him knew him as a forceful presence—at times difficult, at times distant—whose influence was deeply felt and whose legacy continues to be processed in different ways by those he left behind.
He is survived by his wife and children. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public service. Those who wish to mark his passing are invited to do so privately, through acts of reflection, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of understanding across generations.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent in his memory.
