Another chapter in the book of my family has ended. My youngest daughter Makaila graduated last week from Blenheim District High School. We are very proud of her for her accomplishments and her keen insight of and compassion for people. All through her student career, beginning in Junior-Kindergarten at W.J. Baird School, Makaila has had great teachers who have inspired her to give it her all and to do well. So if you were one of Makaila’s teachers and you are reading this…thank you. As she moves forward this fall to attend Brock University, know that you have been an integral part of who she is and what she has accomplished.
As in any good book, as one chapter ends, another begins. For Makaila it will be new surroundings, new friends and new experiences. I don’t see my new chapter as being so exciting…it will be the first time in 31 years that I haven’t had to get one of my children off to school. Although I never found packing lunches all that exciting, being a Dad has been the best journey of my life…I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Until next week,
Marc
