Gary Dickson

A photo of Gary Dickson

Gary Michael Dickson of Blenheim passed away on Sunday May 21, 2017 at the age of 74 years. Gary was one of two children born to the late Joseph & Elsie (Phillips) Dickson and was predeceased by his sister Patricia. After living his childhood in the Aylmer area Gary became a member of the O.P.P. and worked as an Investigator for Ontario Hydro. In his retirement he worked in Security at Ontario Hydro and in the Transportation Department of Southwestern Regional Centre. He will be forever remembered by his spouse Rena, his sons Mike and Shawn (Corrie-Lynne) and his grandchildren Tom and Tess.

It was Gary’s wish that his life be remembered quietly, that cremation take place and his ashes be scattered in New Zealand which was a place he visited often and held close to his heart.

Friends wishing to remember Gary with a memorial donation are asked to consider the Blenheim Baptist Church, the Blenheim Community Village or the Parkinsons Society.

Condolences

We worked together at Ontario Hydro, super gentlemen, a pleasure to be with, lots of laughs, just a super guy, convey our sincere condolence to all the family, very fortunate to have had Gary in your lives!

My heart goes out to the family at this difficult time. Gary was blessed to have a wonderful family who loved and cared for him deeply. As a PSW at the Village, I witnessed their compassion during his illness and how they stood by him. Gary knew how to make others smile, even during his struggles. Peace be with you Gary and family.
