William (Bill) Ceccacci of Blenheim passed away at his home on Thursday June 5, 2025. He will be remembered fondly by his children Catriona Huggins (JP), Miranda Ceccacci (Grant Smith), John Ceccacci (Lacey) and Liam Ceccacci (Baillie Siefert), by their mother Tracey Ceccacci, and by his grandchildren Renton, Jett, Gavin and Rigby Huggins, Sophia and Lilly Smith, and Luca, Julia and Owen Ceccacci. Bill was born in Chatham 69 years ago to the late Siggismondo & Maria Ceccacci. Bill was predeceased by his brother Renato Ceccacci, and is survived by his siblings Sue Robinson (Tim), John Ceccacci (Jenny), Phil Ceccacci (Anne Marie) and Claudio Ceccacci. Bill is also remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Bill was a kindhearted man who deeply loved his family. Though he struggled, he always managed to persevere in the face of difficulties. His love for music, soccer, hockey, Italian culture, and most of all the people he cared about, helped him keep his optimistic outlook. He was also an avid gardener with the greenest of thumbs. Bill was often funny, silly, and quick with a smile. It brightened his day to visit with people and to see them laugh. He took great joy in the accomplishments of his children, and grandchildren; who’s pictures covered the walls of his home.
In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home on Thursday June 12, 2025, from 1:00 – 3:00 which will be followed immediately by a funeral service. Friends wishing to remember Bill with a memorial donation are asked to consider Diabetes Canada.
