Robert “Bob” Harold Henderson of Blenheim passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025 with his family by his side after a short battle with cancer.

Bob was born to the late Harold and Loreena Henderson.  He is survived by his spouse Laurette, who he met in 1995 and blended their families.  He is survived by his son Brian, his grandchildren Angie (Cam), Tawnya, Nichole (Nick), Dylan, Kelsy (Kory) and Makenzie, and his great-grandchildren Kylar, Piper and Cooper.

With Bob’s union to Laurette there are additional honorary family members; daughter Renée (Charlie), grandchildren Robert, Rachel (Dylan), Jon (Kait), Josh, Katielyn, Kristina (Trevor) and Jessica, and great-grandchildren Scarlette-Belle, Ellie-Rose and Rosie.

As families are unique, we also must include Jamie Trainor (Kim) and their children Alex, Hannah and Emma.

Bob also has a surviving brother Mike (Diane).

There have been many losses over the years as Bob was predeceased by his daughter Tracey, sons Brad and Keith, as well as his brother Ron and his sister Bev.

Bob was a creature of habit to say the least.  If you saw him in Blenheim or Shrewsbury, you could tell it wasn’t winter.  Bob would be at Tim Hortons daily hanging with his buddies where they all exaggerated their stories together.  In Shrewsbury he could be seen driving around to “check things out”, stopping anywhere on the road to chat whether he knew you or not.  If you didn’t know who he was at the beginning of your chat, you would by the end.  Winter would come and he would “poof” off to Florida with Laurette to enjoy the sun, boating and dinner with their friends.

Visitation for Bob will take place at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home on Monday February 17, 2025 from 1:00- 4:00 p.m.  A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday February 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.  A private family interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.

Friends wishing to remember Bob with a memorial donation are asked to consider the Chatham-Kent Hospice or the Shrewsbury Raglan Assembly.

Hey Uncle Bob, looking back over some old pictures and memories it’s wild to think we’ve been friends for ten or so years now. Friends that invest that much time with me are never considered friends, But members of my family. thank you for spending so much time with me. I have truly enjoyed every minute of it. And cherish every memory I have made with you. Thank you for being so good to me and my girls, doing your best for you and laurette to make it to our holidays in the Fernandez house and especially for attending my wedding day. For always having an open door of your house for me to come and chat about life and the crazy world. Im proud of the life you’ve lived because I remember all of the stories you’ve told me. I will think of you every time the fish jump, every time a bicycle passes the house, every time I hear your name. And so much more. You mean so much to me uncle bob, and I love you very much.
