Rea McGuire of Thamesville and formerly of Blenheim passed away at Victoria Hospital, London on Thursday May 20, 2021.  Rea was born in Cobalt Ontario, 83 years ago to the late Yvonne & Wilfred Phillion and is survived by her sisters Simone Snowdon and Lucy Chiasson.  She was predeceased by her sister Frances and her brothers Armand, Romeo, Donald, Homer and Maurice.

Rea will be missed greatly by her husband Donald McGuire who she married just nine months ago.  She will be remembered by her daughter Tara Baller (Max) and her sons Randy Tomlinson, Terry Tomlinson and Jeff Eisen.  She was called Grandma by 22 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  She was a kind and caring person who chose nursing as a career.  She had a smile that lit up a room and she enjoyed making others smile with her quick wit.  She loved to bake and made friends easily wherever she went.  She will be remembered well by her church family at Glad Tidings Community Church in Blenheim.

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Glad Tidings Community Church in the coming weeks and will be announced.  In view of Rea’s love for animals, friends wishing to remember her with a memorial donation are asked to consider Pet & Wildlife Rescue.

My deepest condolences to Don and the rest of Rea's family and friends. Jeff and I were looking forward to meeting up with you all this summer after Covid restrictions allowed for you and Rea to finally make that honeymoon trip out west to the Rockies. Sadly, it was never to be. Jeff and I will make a trip out to Banff this summer and show Rea our favourite spots, as I know she'll be with us. May the Creator give you all comfort during this difficult time.

I am so grateful to have had some time with Rea in the last year or so. Thank you Don, for taking care of her. Sincerest condolences to you and the family. Jeff

Our sincere condolences to all the families whose lives were touched by my Aunt Rea. She and my Uncle Raymond were both in my parents ( Russell & Dianne Tomlinson) wedding party on August 6, 1960. 25 years later at my parents Silver Anniversary party, Rea sat at the head table once again to share in the dinner celebration and danced to the live band until the wee hours of the morning. Happy times and special memories that will always be remembered. May she Rest In Peace. Bruce & Linda ( nee Tomlinson) Kolpin
