Glen's family will celebrate his life at a later date.

Glen Alexander Sheppard of Blenheim passed away on Tuesday February 5, 2018 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice. Glen was born in Hamilton 55 years ago to Madeleine & the late George Sheppard. He will always remain in the hearts of his children Regan, Maclean and Graem Sheppard and their mother Lori.

Glen was one of seven siblings and is survived by his sisters Paullette Henderson (Wayne) and Rita Browe (late Jim) and by his brothers John Sheppard and Al Sheppard (Kelly). He was predeceased by his brothers Mark and Tim Sheppard.

There were many things that Glen loved in life…he was an avid cyclist, he loved music, he curled, he loved the outdoors and his job in the produce department at Sobeys in Chatham. However, there was nothing he loved more than spending time with the three people who were the most important to him and made him so proud…his children.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. His family will celebrate his life at a later date. Blenheim Community Funeral Home entrusted with funeral arrangements.

Friends wishing to remember Glen with a memorial donation are asked to consider the Word of Life Soup Kitchen.

Condolences

People lose touch over times, it happens. I knew you were having health issues but never got in touch with you. I tried to get in contact with with you today to see how you were making out when I learned that you passed away in February. Everything about that last sentence makes me angry. I miss the many conversations we had (usually over a beer) which still guide me today. Cheers my friend! Jim

I am Brenda Tomen formerly, and went to school with Glen and his siblings in Blenheim. But, Glen was actually in my classes, and my age. I was always happy to see him in the produce section at Sobey's. Did not know that he was ill. I am so sorry for your loss, to the Sheppard family, children, and Lori. Grieving with you.

Hey Machete, Sorry to hear about Glen. Take care buddy. You are in our thoughts .

Sending my sympathies to Glen’s family. Glen was a great man and always wonderful to work with at Sobeys. He made many of our early morning shifts bearable. Glen and I would talk about live concerts he had found on youtube and how I absolutely had to watch them, thanks to this I now have a new favourite band. Glen loved to poke fun about my height and I will forever miss being asked if he needed to fetch the stepladder so I could reach the bottom shelf. R.I.P Glen, thank you for all the great memories at work.

Heartfelt Condolences to all the family. Our Thoughts and Prayers are with you at this time.

I am very sorry to hear of this. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

Maclean, Regan and Graem: We are saddened to learn of the loss of your Dad. May you find strength in each other and comfort in the memories you share.

Sending my deepest sympathies to Glen's family. Glen was always a treat to work with at sobeys. Constantly cracking jokes and keeping the mood light was Glen's specialty. It was always evident that he was very proud of his kids as his face would light up when talking about them and their accomplishments. When Glen got sick I didn't once hear him complain. He always remained positive about the situation and i truly admired the toughness he displayed coming to work everyday with a smile on his face. Glen's outgoing and cheerful personality will be missed by many.

May all your loving memories give you the strength and courage to help you through this difficult time. Sending my deepest sympathy and thinking of you.

Sending my deepest sympathy to the family. I worked with Glen at Sobeys. He had a way of making every day a better day with his sense of humor. We shared many a laugh and good times. He was very personable and well liked by many he will be missed. R.I.P. Glen
