Dorothy Elizabeth (Couch) Lindsey passed away at Riverview Gardens on Saturday July 24, 2010 at the age of 88 years. Dorothy was born in Fort William, Ontario, to her parents Wellington Moses and Elsie Jane (Hymers) Couch. Dorothy moved from Thunder Bay to Kingsville in 1980, and then to Blenheim in 1987. She was a past member of the Blenheim United Church and UCW, and Blenheim Seniors Centre. Her favorite pastimes included family get-together’s, playing Bridge, dancing, knitting, reading, United Church activities, country music, taping her favorite “soaps” on TV, Bingo, and the occasional slot machine. In her earlier years she enjoyed her job as a Payroll Clerk at McKellar General Hospital in Fort William, fishing, camping, and vacations in Las Vegas. Dorothy is survived by her four children Dale & Lynne Lindsey of Thunder Bay, Judy (Reitberger) & Don Johnston of Mitchell’s Bay, Brian & Fiorine Lindsey of Sault Ste. Marie, and Sandra Lindsey of Windsor. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and her brother Gordon & Jean Couch of Thunder Bay. She is pre-deceased by her sister Tamison Sitch and her brothers Frank and George Couch. In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to the Blenheim Community Funeral Home, 60 Stanley St., Blenheim, on Saturday, July 31, 2010 for a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Friends wishing to remember Dorothy with a memorial donation are asked to consider the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
