Charlene left this world peacefully on December 8 2025, surrounded by the family and friends who cherished her deeply.
A woman of remarkable intelligence, warmth, and quiet strength, Charlene graduated from Public General Hospital’s nursing school in 1962, where she was awarded the Gold Medal for Leadership and Scholarship—a distinction that reflected not only her academic excellence but the compassionate character that would define her life. She brought her gifts as a nurse to PGH, caring for patients with skill and tenderness until she embraced her greatest calling: motherhood to three wonderful children.
Those who knew Charlene remember her quick wit, her generous spirit, and her unwavering loyalty as a friend. She possessed a remarkable resilience, meeting life’s difficulties with grace and courage that never wavered. Through every season, she remained a steady presence—strong when strength was needed, kind when kindness mattered most.
She is survived by Jeff, Ann, Laura and by the countless friends whose lives she touched with her humor, wisdom, and genuine care.
