With profound sadness, the Nauta family says goodbye to their dear Rose.

Rosemarie Ann Boyd was born on August 8, 1971 to John and Hermina Nauta of Blenheim.  She was the youngest sister of Wendy (Adrian) Weesjes, Evelyn (John) Leistra, Jim (Janet) Nauta, and Marcia (Harry Vanderveen). Rose was teaching in Hong Kong when she met the love of her life, Andy Boyd.  They married in 1999 and moved to Australia where she became the most perfect mummy to Matthew. Rose was also an amazing aunt to Erica, Rachel and Julie Nauta, and Nick (Laura), Alex (Sam) and Lianna Leistra.

Rose passed away peacefully on September 28, 2019 only two months after being diagnosed with leukemia. Her smile, passion, energy and enthusiasm will always be remembered by everyone she knew.  Her funeral was held in Brisbane, Australia and a gathering to share memories and celebrate Rose’s wonderful life will be held on Sunday, October 27th from 2:00 – 4:00 at the Blenheim Christian Reformed Church, 286 Chatham Street S. in Blenheim.

Condolences

I'm truly grieved to learn that dear Rosie has passed away. What a shock. I remember her so well the first day she started school and got on the bus with her sisters and brother. I remember her sparkling blue eyes that were full of life. My very deepest condolences to Mom and Dad... in addition to Wendy, Evelyn, Jim and Marcia. At this time, I'm impressed with the fact that we have hope in our faith and this hope reassures us we will see each other and all be together again one day. May this hope give you some measure of comfort in your grief and loss. I'm so very sorry this has happened. We were neighbours for so many years and I offer my heart-felt condolences. We will meet again. Peace be with you.

Our sympathy to Marcia and family for the loss of dear Rose. Her coworkers and I are thinking of you all.

So sorry for your loss ... keeping your entire family in our Thoughts & Prayers during this very difficult time.Just remember to hold all of your precious memories near in your heart and always remember she is watching down over you.God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, nor sun without rain but he did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way. Take Care, Todd, Lesa (Rumble) and Family

So sorry for your loss. Sympathies to all. A life taken far too young. One thing that can never be taken from us are our memories. Memories last forever so share them and keep her memory alive. God Bless Wayne and Susan

Very Sorry

Rosie was a part of my life since we were babies.... most of my childhood memories are wrapped up with her. We grew up together, had countless adventures.... and even though she lived across the world, we still loved eachother and kept in touch, treasuring her visits home to Canada. So truly Thankful for her last visit this summer. I will miss you sweet Rosie. I will see you, hear your laugh, feel your hugs as I face life without you.... I will carry you with me always. ❤️ My heart aches for all of Rosie's family and friends. May God surround us, comfort us, strengthen us, and give us peace. Love you all! ❤️

I worked with Rose in Brisbane on and off for the last couple of years. We shared a role as we both cared for family, and worked part time and tried to get the balance right in life. She was so passionate, kind, dedicated and hungry for knowledge. She was a pleasure to work with. It is with so much sadness that I learned of her passing. I hope you can find and carry with you the joy she brought to so many lives in this time of sorrow.
