Private

Richard “Rick” Wilson of Blenheim and formerly of St. Thomas passed away on Friday October 23, 2020 at the age of 67.   Rick was a millwright by trade and retired from Prestran Industries in St. Thomas.  In his spare time, he was a very talented mandolin crafter and enjoyed bluegrass music.  He and his wife Tina (Wiebe) were living proof that sometimes blind dates do work out as they recently celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary.  They spent the last year together building their forever home doing as much work as they could themselves.  Rick will be remembered with great fondness by his daughter Ashley Wilson of Goderich and his son Paul & Sherry Wilson of Stratford as well as his grandchildren Torri, Troy, Mazie, Sophia and Samantha.  He was the son of Evelyn (Lavigne) & the late John Hargreaves and is survived by his only brother Gary Radford and his wife Liz.  He is also be remembered by his mother-in-law, his brothers and sisters-in-law and by his nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Rick’s wishes, cremation has taken place and his family will remember him privately.

Sorry to hear your loss. His father John lived on Chestnut st down from my parents. I worked with Rick at Flex-O-lite in st thomas close to 35 years ago. Sorry for your loss

Rick was a dear friend who had a good sense of humour. He was a nice man who I never heard say bad things about people. He was a talented musician who loved building splendid instruments as well as playing them. It was my privilege and pleasure to have known him. He will be missed. Rest In Peace, My Friend. My most sincere condolences to Tina and the family.

Dear Tina: We have just returned from a few days away from home; we have, therefore, just learned of Rick's passing. My husband and I knew Rick from the Rodney music jams and were great fans. We send our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Sincerely, Ray, Gwen and Lori Reeson
