He attended Fanshawe College in London receiving a degree in Radio Broadcasting which he was able to use at CFCO and CKSY in Chatham. He was a founding member and instructor at the Taoist Tai Chi Society in Chatham. He self-taught himself the art of computer generated animation and was able to work with Dreamworks and Amblin Entertainment. His latest accomplishment was to start his own production company called Penguin Frog Studio that had ties in New York. One of Richard’s fondest memories was a trip to Ireland with his sister Cindy when they took their dad home and met their extended family there.

Richard’s wish was that this part of his life be shared with his immediate family. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be scattered at one of his favourite places.
