Mary Ellen Siddall (McBrien)

December 7, 1944 – March 22, 2022

Mary Ellen passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Tuesday March 22, 2022 at the age of 77.

Mary Ellen was the daughter of the late Harry & Violet (nee Mills) McBrien of Thamesville.  Sister-in-law to Beth McBrien and Marjorie McBrien, both of Ridgetown.  Sister to the late Bill McBrien and Tom McBrien.

Aunt to Mary Margaret (Bill), Lori (Ray), Karen (Tom) and Sean (Deena).

As per Mary Ellen’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Those wishing to honour her life can make donations in her name to the Chatham-Kent Hospice or Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario.

 

May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

The sun shine warm upon your face,

The rain fall soft upon your fields,

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

To the McBrien Family: I am so sorry to hear of Mary Ellen's passing. I went to High School with Mary Ellen many years ago. She was always such a wonderful friend to all of her classmates. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult and sad time.

Our condolences to Mary Ellen’s family. I have fond memories of Mary Ellen when Beth & I would take her to London for Dr, appts. We would always enjoy a wonderful lunch out with a nice visit. It made her day.

To the whole McBrien family, I am so sorry to hear of “Aunt” Mary Ellens passing. That’s how I knew her as a kid when I would visit Karen at Marjorie and Tom’s. Thinking of you all.

I’m sorry for your loss. I was one of Mary Ellen’s care givers at the nursing home. I loved her and she was always very sweet. She was one of my favourite patients. She will be missed.
