We didn’t know her well, but we do have very fond memories how she went out of her way to make our wedding so special. I heard that she was a baker and reached out to her to help us with a very specific cake and cupcake request. She made the most amazing cake ever and was so helpful making our day special. I am in disbelief. I cannot even put into words how angry & sad I feel about how such a sweet girl can be taken so suddenly from one of the nicest family's out there. To my Aunt Ruth, Uncle Dan, cousin Joel, Kyle & anyone who had the opportunity to become close to Jaimee; I cannot even begin to imagine the level of grief you must be experiencing. I'm sure there is an vast emptiness in all of your hearts, in the place where you held a spot for this beautiful woman. But if one thing is certain, it's that although she is not here with us for the time being, she is not gone from us forever. We will all have the chance to see her again someday. As for right now, do t think of her as gone, but rather that this determined, capable, lovely person is just off on her next adventure. I'm sure if she was able to tell you all something, it would be not to mourn her death, but rather to remember the good times we were all fortunate to have with her and to celebrate the life she had with us. We will all miss you more that you could have ever known, Jamiee! We'll see you on the flip side!

I had the pleasure of meeting Jaimee through her cousin Lisa. They were as close as sisters, and in the almost 20 years that I’ve known Lisa, I’ve known about all her lovely cousins.
I had the pleasure of traveling to Jamaica for Lisa and Dan’s wedding and getting to know Jaimee better at that time. She was a beautiful, vibrant soul who was really good at making others feel welcome. Though it has been years since I’ve seen her, the tragic news hit me unexpectedly hard. It doesn’t feel fair that someone who had just recently been married, who had a loving family and a whole bright future ahead of her could be taken so suddenly. In times like this, all you can do is turn to the love of family and friends and try to live life in such as way as Jaimee would have wanted… Please try not to let grief turn you bitter. My stepbrother was in the vehicle with Jamiee that night; this is how I heard the news. I knew Jaimee when I was in an accident several years ago, she was the one that helped me in my recovery through physio. She was the kindest person; so caring and sweet.
