Jacques “Jack” Hould

Jacques “Jack” Hould of Blenheim passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Sunday April 19, 2020.  Jack was born in a small town in Northern Quebec called McWatters 68 years ago but eventually made Blenheim his home for many years.  He was a kind soul who focused on the good that he saw in everyone he met.  He was a long time employee of Southwestern Regional Centre who came to work faithfully every day to work in the Housekeeping department.  In his own way he tried to make people smile and add a ray of sunshine to their lives.  During his stay at the Hospice, he recognized those same efforts in the people who surrounded him as it became his turn to receive the kindness he had always given.  In keeping with Jack’s wishes, his family will remember him privately.  Friends wishing to remember him are asked to pay it forward to someone in need or consider a memorial donation to the Chatham-Kent Hospice.

So sorry to hear of Jacks passing. I remember him from SWRC. He was always happy and took pride in job. My condolences to his family.

Dear Uncle Jack, Thank you for having been part of my life. I will always remember our cookie conversations on the phone that always made me laugh. I will also cherrish the times we shared in person when I was a teenager when we came to visit you. I will also remember this last conversation we had a few weeks back where you truly were happy that I had called you. We laughed, we cried tears of joy and it is a treasure I will keep in my heart always. I love you uncle and I will miss you and your funny phone calls. Now you may rest and I hope to hug you again in heaven when it will be my time to go home. Thank you for your humor, and "Viva le Vie!" as you always said to me at the end of each phone call we had. I love you. Your niece, Sandra Hould.

"You have this faith and love because of your hope, and what you hope for is kept safe for you in heaven." I rejoice with you because it is so my little brother. You were always full of kindness and an encouragement for others around you. I remember with fondness my many visits with you and phone calls where we laughed and prayed together. I will miss you dearly but know that I will see you again in Glory. I love you very much. Your loving sister Yollande Vachon

Uncle Jack, We have so many years of memories with you, stemming back to the time my dad passed away and into the years you lived at the Golden Acres Ranch. We enjoyed long summers with you watching the rodeos, having BBQ's, riding out bad rain storms and even a tornado. You were always good for a bunch of laughs. And even that funny beer and egg shampoo you used to make me wash my hair with. You will be missed, but I will see you again. Mom (your sister Yollande) sends her love also. Your pain and suffering have ended, now enjoy your new dwelling until we catch up to you.

I remember him fondly from SRC, always smiling and joking... great man. Condolences to the family.
