David Garfield Brown peacefully passed away at the Chatham- Kent Health Alliance on Saturday September 17, 2022 at the age of 74. Dave was the son of the late Alice and John Brown. Loving husband of Vera ‘Lynn’ Brown of Cedar Springs. Father to Jeff Brown, Greg Brown, Chrissy Brown, Shannon (Sherri) McTavish, and Chad (Michelle) McTavish. Son in law to Patricia Atkinson. Dave was a proud grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Brother to Ruth Anne (John) Telford and the late Jean Brown. Brother-in-law to Elizabeth Atkinson (Jim Ranney), William (Marlene) Atkinson, Glenda (Kurt) Prisner, and Sheila McTavish (Dave Armstrong). Sadly, missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Dave will be remembered by many for the Dave Brown Enterprises Inc. where he spent countless hours trucking long hauls. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and being with family and friends. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will remember him privately. Donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be appreciated.
