Dear Ruth, so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was a wonderful gentleman in all that he did. Sunday breakfasts were very special. Take care. Sharren Eveland

My sympathies to Ruth Anne and her family Bill was an old school friend from many years ago, at RDHS. After a long separation because of careers, we finally got to see one another on occasion once again. I always enjoyed these visits however brief. Bill had a sense of humour that he could bring to any situation; however serious it might be. I am sure this special trait served him well over his lifetime and was appreciated by all those, who came in contact with him. He will be missed for sure, but persons like Bill will always be remembered for who they were and what they were able to do.

My name is Bill Kerr - [Bill #2] I met Bill April 28th at CKHA we shared a room till May 9th ...we had an immediate bond...my uncle was an OPP. Bill & I talked a laughed and laughed - the nurses use to stop and visit with us - Bill and I brought smiles and laughter to them on a daily basis... I moved to the rehab side May 9th but called over to his room every day or two... to check up on him. I gave him my home phone and address and we talked about when he got better and up and around he would take me for a ride in one or all of his cars.. I never did get his phone or address or I would have definitely come for a visit... I came home May 20th and called several times then found out he got to go home in early June in time for Ruth's birthday - that was his goal... He made it ...but now this - it was such a shock to see and read this - our deepest sympathies to you all. Bill #1 was such an awesome friendly person - we had such a good time during during our time together and I will him forever.

With sympathy and respect to Ruth and family in Bill’s passing. A wonderful community minded man. It has been a pleasure to know both Bill and you. Hugs- and prayers for the days ahead. Jane and Brian Wright, Chatham

Ruth, sending thoughts and prayers!

Ruth, Bonnie & I are deeply saddened to learn of Bill's passing. He was always the consummate gentleman, pleasant with a smile and usually a joke too. We recall visiting your residence in Southcott Pines, Grand Bend on several occasions in the mid to late 70's. This was after Bill joined the OPP and was commuting to Petrolia detachment if memory is correct in that VW Golf diesel. We lost touch after his transfer south and ours from Pinery Park detachment.
