Randy Dauphin of Blenheim passed away on Sunday December 3, 2017.  Randy was the proud father of two sons Shawn and Joshua (Tabatha) who he always held close to his heart.  He will be missed by his grandchildren Maya, Sophie, Stevie, Mariah and Tyler who he would do his best to spend time with whenever he could.  He will be missed by his step-father Carl Davidson.

Born in Chatham 59 years ago to Judith (Bezzo) and the late Harold Dauphin, Randy was the firstborn, a twin to his sister Cindy Mack (Richard).  He will be remembered fondly by his brothers Jamie (Renee), Jody, Jeff and Mike Dauphin and his nephews Nathan, Christopher and Matthew Dauphin.

On April 18, 2013 Randy was predeceased by the love of his life Theresa (Horak) Dauphin and will be remembered by her sons Derek, Ryan and Shawn Smyth.

Randy worked for many years at Southwestern Regional Centre.  He was a dedicated team member who served as the Union President during the closure.  Following that, he was employed in Corrections, working in Lindsay, Chatham, London and Windsor.  He was a mentor to his children and grandchildren as well as the people he worked with.  His selfless caring ways came shining through as he put the needs of others first.

Family and friends are invited to the Blenheim Community Funeral Home on Friday December 8, 2017 where visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m.  Cremation has taken place.  Randy’s urn will be interred in Evergreen Cemetery with Theresa.

In keeping with what Randy found important in life, friends who wish to remember him with a memorial donation are asked to consider granting wishes to children through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

I knew Randy from SRC. He was a kind and caring man. So sorry for your loss. Prayers for comfort at this time

I am deeply sorry and very sad to hear of Randy's passing. I worked with Randy at SRC and he was such a good man. He did an amazing job as our Union president during the closure of SRC. Unfortunately I am unable to attend the funeral as I am working. My sincere Condolences to the whole family.

Cindy. We where shocked to learn of Randy's sudden tragic passing there are no words we can say to make this time easier hold on to the memories you are in are prayers.

Played many, many pick-up hockey games with Randy late-night Friday or Saturday @ Memorial Arena.....back in the early '70's. Blessings to the family.

I am so very sorry for your sudden, tragic loss of Randy. He was a wonderful man. I am so glad I was fortunate enough to have had a lengthy chat with him last Wednesday. Needless to say the staff here were shocked at the news. Please know that our thoughts are with you.
