Lorena Henderson of Blenheim passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Tuesday October 25, 2016. She was the proud and loved mother of Beverley Osmon (late George) of Ridgetown, Robert Henderson & Laurette Caron of Blenheim, Ron Henderson of Hamilton and Mike & Diane Henderson of Dunnville. She was predeceased by her husband Harold Henderson and her grandchildren Tracey Lynn Henderson, Keith Robert Henderson and Bradley Douglas Henderson.  Lorena was the last surviving member of her family, having been predeceased by her sisters Lorna Vickery, Hazel Garrod, Grace Arnold, Wilma Polowick, June Stewart, Oliveen Shipp, Maybelle Ronson and Burton Ronson.

There were many stories that Lorena could have told; stories that would have spanned over her 100 years from childhood to adulthood. She seen many changes in the world; some good and some bad but she always embraced life.  She enjoyed curling, golfing and walks on the beach.  Mostly she enjoyed her family and she lived to see five generations which meant that she enjoyed being a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother and a great-great grandmother.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Lorena’s life will be held at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home at a later date and will be announced.

Friends wishing to remember Lorena with a memorial donation are asked to consider the Chatham-Kent Hospice where she spent her final days.
